DEAR COLLEAGUES!

We are pleased to invite you to the International Scientific Cadet Conference "Modern Technologies in Today's Security Challenges", which will be held on 16th –17th  April, 2026, at Korolov Zhytomyr Military Institute.

CONFERENCE AIMS:

To exchange experience in solving research-based tasks related to national security and defense in wartime, as well as to help cadets acquire public presentation and discussion skills.

SCIENTIFIC TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE

The conference will be organized in the form of discussion panels on the following topics:

1) Information technology on the battlefield;

2) The role of unmanned technologies in modern War; 

3) Confrontation in the electromagnetic spectrum;

4) Tactics and leadership: challenges of modern combat.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE

1.  By March 25, 2026, participants must complete the registration form for participation in the conference at this link: https://forms.gle/Ynim3GEu1J8SMGkJA or through the form on the official website of the Korolov Zhytomyr Military Institute at www.kzmi.mil.gov.ua

Participants should attach the abstract of their report to the application. The filename should include the author's surname and the institution's abbreviation (e.g., Petrenko_KZMI.docx).

The abstract must not contain any classified or restricted information (the author and scientific supervisor are held responsible for compliance).

2. After the Organizing Committee of the conference accepts the submitted materials, the text of the abstract will be checked for compliance with academic integrity requirements using the StrikePlagiarism program. If a high similarity coefficient is detected, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject the submitted materials. A positive or negative decision regarding the acceptance of materials will be sent to the participant's e-mail address specified in the application.

3. The conference will be held in a mixed format (in-person and remote participation).

4. Participation is free of charge.

5. All participants will receive (or be sent) a Certificate.

6. Working languages: Ukrainian and English.

Following the conference, a collection of abstracts is planned to be published.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FORMATTING OF ABSTRACTS

1. The abstract should be up to two pages long in A4 format, typed in Ukrainian or English in Microsoft Word using Times New Roman font, size – 14 pt, style – normal, line spacing – 1.2, paragraph indent – 1.25 cm, text alignment – justified, no hyphenation.

2. Page settings: top and bottom margins – 2.5 cm, right and left margins – 2.1 cm, distance to top and bottom headers – 2.2 cm.

3. In the upper right corner (regular font, without italics or underlining):

– surname and initials of the author (authors, but no more than two);

– surname and initials of the scientific supervisor, his/her scientific degree and academic title (if applicable); 

– full name of the educational institution. 

4.The title of the report is printed in capital letters, bold font, without italics or underlining, centered on the page, without hyphenation or paragraphs, and separated from the text by one empty line above and below the title.

5. Abbreviations may be used in the text of abstracts if they are mentioned more than twice and are correctly introduced.

6. Abstracts are submitted without a list of bibliographic references.

7. The use of illustrations, tables, figures, or formulas is not allowed. 

8. The author and their scientific supervisor are responsible for the content, accuracy of the material presented, the permission for open publication and compliance with academic integrity.

 

ATTENTION! The collection of abstracts will include materials prepared in accordance with the requirements and submitted no later than 25th March, 2026.
