
The Faculty of Information Technologies and Engineering was established on 30 November 2025.
The Faculty is the primary structural subdivision of the Military Institute that provides training for personnel to serve under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other state bodies within the security and defence sector of Ukraine in officer and non-commissioned officer positions through full-time study.
Within the framework of formal education, the Faculty ensures the development of general professional (engineering and computer-related) competencies in cadets, in accordance with higher education standards, which are required in professional activity for the effective use and operation of complex high-technology weapons and military equipment, specialized software, and for the organization of their effective combat use.
In addition, the Faculty provides training for higher education applicants from among contract servicemen who do not hold officer ranks, enabling them to obtain a Bachelor’s degree through part-time study.

The Faculty of Information Technologies and Engineering comprises:

the Department of Fundamental Sciences;
the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics;
the Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity;
the Department of Telecommunications and Radio Engineering.
In its activities, the Faculty of Information Technologies and Engineering is guided by the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, the laws and by-laws of Ukraine, regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Statute of the Korolov Zhytomyr Military Institute, decisions of the Academic Councils of the Faculty of Fundamental Sciences and of the Military Institute, and administrative and directive documents of the Institute command.
