The Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics is a structural unit of the Korolov Zhytomyr Military Institute, which provides comprehensive training of specialists in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, and related engineering fields, in particular for the security and defense sector of Ukraine. The educational activities of the department are based on a combination of fundamental theory and advanced design technologies.

Areas of training and competence

The department trains specialists who not only know the theory, but also know how to create complex technical solutions “from scratch.” Our graduates master:

analysis and calculation of complex electrical circuits and devices;

design and maintenance of analog and digital circuitry;

metrology and measurement using precision control and measuring equipment;

power supply, in particular power supply systems for radio-electronic complexes and military equipment.

Laboratory facilities: from idea to prototype

The educational process is based on the principle of “Full Cycle Engineering”. The department's educational and technical resources allow students to go through the entire product creation process:

modeling (concept development and parameter calculation in automated design systems);

development (design of printed circuit boards and microprocessor systems);

manufacturing (rapid prototyping using 3D printing and CNC machining);

testing (testing of prototypes on modern test benches).

Military vector and practical experience

Particular attention is paid to training personnel to operate high-tech weapons. The high level of training is ensured by the faculty of the department, which includes candidates of sciences and experienced practicing engineers with experience in the military.

Students are actively involved in scientific activities. Participation in national and international competitions and conferences, where our students regularly win prizes, confirms their high competitiveness.

Technological stack of the department

Scientific and pedagogical staff of the department integrate the tools of leading global companies into the educational process:

computer modeling systems – MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad, Proteus;

microcontroller platforms – AVR, MCS-51, STM32, ESP-32, Raspberry Pi;

prototyping technologies (3D printing), CNC machining, printed circuit board manufacturing;

modern automated design tools;

working with energy-efficient systems, renewable energy sources, as well as automated and automatic electric drives of the new generation.

Why choose us?

Relevance – educational programs are adapted to the requirements of digital transformation in the defense sector.

Practicality – implementation of elements of dual education and cooperation with defense industry enterprises.

Prospects – training specialists capable of working in the conditions of modern network-centric warfare.

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics is a place where theoretical knowledge is transformed into a real technological advantage.
