
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Rehabilitation is a basic structural unit of the Institute, which conducts educational, methodological and organizational activities, sports and mass work, as well as scientific activities in the fields of physical education, health sciences, and sports rehabilitation.
The main tasks of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Rehabilitation include the development and maintenance of cadets’ key physical qualities, training in various sports, organization of sports competitions, as well as sports rehabilitation of military personnel.
Areas of activity of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Rehabilitation:
conducting educational and methodological work within the academic discipline “Physical Education, Special Physical Training”;
organization of sports and mass work (organization of the training process with sports teams (work of sports sections), organization and conducting of sports competitions);
carrying out research activities and implementing measures aimed at improving the scientific and methodological qualifications of the academic staff of the department;
improving the educational material and technical base in physical education and sports rehabilitation;
organizing and conducting physical and sports rehabilitation activities for the Institute’s military personnel and their family members.
The Department of Physical Education and Sports Rehabilitation teaches the academic discipline “Physical Education, Special Physical Training” (from 1 to 4 semesters at the bachelor’s level – 8 ECTS credits; from 1 to 4 semesters at the master’s level – 8 ECTS credits). The course is aimed at developing, improving, and maintaining the general physical qualities of cadets and students, as well as providing them with theoretical knowledge, organizational and methodological skills, and practical abilities required to manage physical training for military personnel. Additionally, the Department organizes optional training in sports sections, including team sports (football, volleyball, basketball), track and field combined events, power sports (kettlebell lifting, armwrestling, powerlifting), athletics, crossfit, and chess. The Department also provides rehabilitation support for the Institute’s military personnel through physical activity.
