Department of Space Intelligence of Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolyova was created to train highly qualified specialists in the field of space systems use and information analysis. In the modern world, where space is a strategic area for ensuring the country's national security, the department trains specialists at the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education in the following specializations:

"Space intelligence data processing", which includes studying the structure of space systems and facilities, working with geospatial data using modern software, receiving images from space and analyzing Earth remote sensing data.

"Means of special control", which includes monitoring of the global seismic situation, monitoring of the radiation situation, monitoring of compliance with the requirements of international treaties and agreements regarding the limitation and prohibition of nuclear weapons testing.
