The Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity, which is part of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Engineering, is a core structural unit of the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S. P. Korolyov.
The Department provides training for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students within the field of knowledge 25 “Military Sciences, National Security, and State Border Security” in the following specialties:
254 “Support of Troops (Forces)”;
255 “Armaments and Military Equipment” across all specializations.
The Department also provides training for part-time (extramural) students in two fields of knowledge across four specializations:
F “Information Technologies” (F5 “Cybersecurity and Information Protection”),
G “Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction” (G7 “Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics”, G3 “Electrical Engineering”, G5 “Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrument Engineering and Radio Engineering”).
The Department’s tasks include comprehensive implementation of educational, methodological, scientific, scientific-and-technical, organizational, and innovative activities in the field of information technologies.
The Department was established (reorganized) on 28 November 2025.
Faculty Members of the Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity Joined the Jury of the Regional Junior Academy of Sciences (JAS) Competition
The regional stage of the competition-defense of research projects of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took place on 19 February 2026. The event was organized with the support of the Zhytomyr Regional Council’s Center for Extracurricular Education for Children and Youth.
The participation of the Department’s faculty members in the jury contributed to ensuring objectivity and maintaining a high professional standard in evaluating the submitted projects.
The Department of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity will continue to support initiatives aimed at developing young people’s scientific potential, fostering critical thinking, and promoting an innovative approach to solving pressing contemporary challenges.
